Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Henderson, NV is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to support donor safety and the plasma donation process. You will determine donor eligibility, review laboratory results, and assist in donor notification of test results, under supervision of the Center Manager and Center Physician.

The role requires EMT licensure (EMT-B/A/I/P), LPN/LVN, or RN, CPR/AED, and prior clinical experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent including graduate nursing education as applicable.
• Currently licensed or certified in the state for EMT-B/A/I/P, LPN/LVN, or RN.
• CPR and AED certification current.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Complete BioLife Medical Support Specialist FDA training.
• Two years of clinical or hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, education, self-exclusion, and medical history.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical issues.
• Support vaccination programs (Hepatitis B, Seasonal Flu).
• Manage employee incidents with EHS guidance; escalate as needed.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized and assist investigations.
