Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services seeks an Medical Support Specialist to ensure donor safety, eligibility, and proper handling of adverse events. You will review lab results, inform donors of unsuitable outcomes, and work under the Center Manager and Center Physician to support plasma center operations.

Requirements include EMT licensure, CPR/AED, and 2+ years in a clinical setting, with a focus on patient care and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• EMT licensure in applicable state(s)
• CPR and AED certification current
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility and informed consent, medical history, and physical examination
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs
• Refer complex cases to Center Physician or Medical Affairs
• Support vaccination programs for staff as applicable
• Manage occupational health incidents with EHS guidance
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS/Medical Affairs
