Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services seeks a Medical Support Specialist to determine donor eligibility, review test results, and support operations under the Center Manager and Center Physician. The role requires EMT licensure (B/A/I/P), CPR/AED, and clinical experience.

You will collaborate with EHS, Medical Affairs, and the Center team to ensure donor safety, regulatory compliance, and efficient center operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with state nursing program requirements.
• Currently licensed/certified as EMT-B/A/I/P or LPN/LVN or RN in the responsible state.
• CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Complete FDA training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent and medical history.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical issues.
• Support vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
• Manage incidents with EHS guidance; coordinate transport when needed.
• Serve as Pandemic Coordinator if authorized by EHS and Medical Affairs.
