Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services is seeking an Medical Support Specialist to support plasma center operations in Bloomington, IN. The role leverages EMT expertise to determine donor eligibility, assess medical history, and ensure donor safety during the plasma donation process.

The position reports to the Center Manager and requires state-appropriate licensure, CPR/AED, and several years in a clinical setting. BioLife offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities within Takeda.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent including nursing program with state requirements.
• Current EMT licenses (EMT-B/EMT-A/EMT-I/EMT-P) or nursing licensure (LPN/LVN or RN).
• CPR and AED certification required.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility and manage informed consent, medical history, and donor interviews.
• Evaluate donor reactions and coordinate with Center Physician for medical issues.
• Support vaccines programs and occupational health processes as applicable.
• Provide center level support for safety and regulatory compliance.
