Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to support donor safety and plasma collection operations. You will assess donor eligibility, review lab results, and manage donor adverse events under physician guidance, ensuring compliance with regulations and BioLife policies.

Role involves infection control, patient safety, and collaboration with Center Manager and Medical Affairs. Includes vaccination program support and incident management within a fast-paced center

Qualifications

• Must be licensed/certified in the state of responsibilities: EMT-B, EMT-A, EMT-I, EMT-P, LPN/LVN, RN.
• Current CPR and AED certification required.
• FDA approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, medical history, and physical exam.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical or technical issues.
• Support vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
• Manage employee incidents with occupational health/ER input.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations.
