Job summary

J&T Business Consulting seeks a Director of Engineering to lead EMS/PCBA engineering and document control. This executive role directs advanced engineering capabilities, drives NPI programs, and partners with operations, quality, and senior leadership to achieve top-tier quality and delivery.

The candidate will oversee SMT/PCBA processes, implement Lean/Six Sigma improvements, and manage capital investments aligned with customer roadmaps and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in EMS/contract manufacturing
• 5+ years leading NPI and process development
• Proven leadership of multi-disciplinary engineering teams in SMT/PCBA environments
• Experience with regulated sectors (aerospace/medical/defense) preferred

Responsibilities

• Direct Engineering and Document Control departments and ensure on-time delivery
• Mentor and upskill engineering staff to build technical depth
• Define engineering standards, SOPs, and KPIs for safety, quality, yield, and throughput
• Lead NPI lifecycle from quoting to production ramp and transition to manufacturing
• Guide DFM/DFT reviews to optimize yield and cost
• Oversee high-precision PCBA test equipment and process tooling
• Ensure compliance with ISO, aerospace, defense, and medical standards
