Job summary

J&T Business Consulting is seeking an Operations Manager for EMS/PCBA in Seymour, CT. The role directs daily manufacturing and warehouse operations in a high-mix, low-to-medium volume environment, reporting to VP of Operations.

Responsibilities include leading production supervisors, driving SQDCP metrics, and championing Lean practices. The position offers growth toward Director of Operations with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, delivery, and cost control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of manufacturing leadership in EMS/PCBA.
• Experience with ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485, ITAR.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise production supervisors and frontline staff across PCBA operations.
• Drive SQDCP metrics and line performance across shifts.
• Lead daily stand-ups and gemba meetings to remove bottlenecks.
• Advance Lean manufacturing, 5S, Kanban, and continuous waste reduction.
• Coordinate schedules to ensure on-time delivery (OTD).
