Job summary

Capital Health seeks an experienced EMS supervisor to provide clinical and operational leadership for Basic Life Support staff in both emergent and non-emergent settings. You will guide patient assessment, life support during transport, and act as a key member of the EMS management team.

Minimum 3 years EMS experience with supervisory preference; NJ/PA/NY credentials or NREMT is required. AHA BLS, Hazmat awareness, ICS/NIMS certifications and strong customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalency; EMT certification per NJ/NY/PA or National Registry.
• Experience: Three years EMS experience minimum; supervisory preferred.
• Other Credentials: AHA BLS- Healthcare Provider, Driver's License, EMT, Hazmat Awareness, ICS-100/200, NIMS, ICS-700.
• Knowledge and Skills: Intermediate computer skills; strong problem solving and customer service.
• Special Training: Hazmat Ops, EMD/BCO preferred; NJ EMT certification reciprocity.
• Mental, Behavioral and Emotional Abilities: Multi-tasking, team work, direction taking.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and operational leadership to Basic Life Support EMS staff.
• Manage rapid-changing situations and ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain certification records for self and staff.
• Oversee staffing, PCRs, and equipment/supply needs.
• Lead patient assessment and prehospital care; ensure safe transport.
