Job summary

Capital Health is seeking an EMS Operations Manager to lead the region's Emergency Medical Services field activities, including incident command and on-scene care. You will monitor contractual activities and coordinate EMS operations across multiple units to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Ideal candidates bring advanced EMS leadership, budgeting and strategic planning skills, with strong communication abilities and a track record in improving operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or five years EMS experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; RN with MICN endorsement accepted in lieu of Paramedic.
  • Five years of management experience in EMS/related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Establishes priorities for department activities; delegates assignments and resources.
  • Develops, interprets, and implements SOPs and testing procedures; executes plans to correct deficiencies.
  • Oversees EMS operations across units and coordinates with stakeholders to achieve goals.
  • Prepares and monitors annual budget information; revises as needed within approved budgets.
  • Provides periodic reports on staffing, workflow, volume metrics and key performance indicators.
  • Drives professional development, safety training and compliance across EMS staff.
