911 Emergency Communications is seeking Emergency Medical Dispatchers to support urgent medical assistance. You will receive calls, verify location and details, and determine response priorities using approved protocols. Role may include overnight and weekend shifts with overtime as needed.

Requirements may include a high school diploma or equivalent and EMD certification; CPR and additional coursework may be required. Employment involves ongoing data entry and adherence to dispatch protocols.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent commonly required.
• Current Emergency Medical Dispatcher certification may be required before appointment.
• CPR certification and coursework may be required.

Responsabilidades

• Receive calls involving illness, injury, and medical emergencies.
• Confirm patient’s location, callback number, and access details.
• Ask approved questions about patient’s condition.
• Determine response priority through the authorized medical dispatch system.
• Dispatch or coordinate ambulance resources when included in the assignment.
• Provide protocol-based instructions within current qualifications.
• Relay patient information and scene hazards to responding personnel.
• Document call processing and participate in quality-review activities.
