Job summary

Truckee Meadows Community College in Reno, NV seeks an EMS Instructor to teach and develop EMS theory, arrange clinical experiences, and coordinate instruction across theory and clinical sites. Faculty will travel to clinical sites as needed and act as a liaison between students and partner facilities.

The role requires an associate degree in EMS or related field, NV paramedic cert or the ability to obtain, and teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of EMS teaching experience or equivalently teaching in EMS programs.
• Current NV paramedic certification or ability to obtain by start date.
• Master’s degree and/or additional EMS credentials preferred.
• Ability to locate the region if necessary.

Responsibilities

• Teach 30 credit/40 credit hours per academic year in varied modalities (in-person, hybrid, online, live-virtual).
• Instruct EMS students and assess theory and clinical performance.
• Prepare syllabi, lesson plans, and teaching materials; coordinate theory with clinical instruction.
