Job summary

College of Southern Nevada in Las Vegas seeks a Part-Time EMS Instructor who will deliver instruction under the EMS program. The instructor must meet the Nevada Health Department guidelines and college requirements, and teach in areas where they have demonstrated competence.

The role reports to the EMS Program Director within the School of Health Sciences and may require evening or weekend scheduling. Responsibilities include course prep, curriculum updates, and maintaining records.

Qualifications

• Meets state and health department guidelines for EMS instructors.
• Instructors teach in areas of specific training and competence.

Responsibilities

• Teach a maximum of 9 instructional units per academic year, excluding summer.
• Spend at least 10 hours per week on class preparation and curriculum revision.
• Allocate at least 5 hours per week on professional development or service as per Faculty Evaluation Policy.
• Teach up to 9 instructional units during the summer term.
• Follow all program and school policies and ensure student adherence.
• Maintain all course records (syllabi, outlines, grades, attendance, etc.).
