Job description

* Minimum of high school diploma or GED.* Ability to effectively communicate with faculty, other TAs, staff, and students.* Hold current EMS certification (card required).* Hold current CPR Certification (card required) through the American Heart Association (Health Care Provider) or American Red Cross (Professional Rescue/Health Care Provider).* A valid driver's license, clear driving record, and EVOC training certificate required, if operating the ambulance.* Experience teaching EMS content and EMS skills* A minimum of three years recent experience as a basic EMT, paramedic or advanced EMT* Current EMS instructor certification* Assist faculty to teach and evaluate course content, including basic EMS skills, under the direction of the course faculty member.* Assist course faculty member to set up and dismantle laboratory supplies and equipment in the agreed upon storage area.* Interact professionally with representatives from the Nevada State Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to help ensure student eligibility for EMS certification in the State of Nevada.* Submit time card to course faculty member on an agreed upon schedule.**Hiring Supervisor** - If you have questions about this role or would like to check on the status of an application, please contact the hiring supervisor/department:Western Nevada College does not discriminate on the basis of sex in any education program or activity that it operates.
