UF Health Flagler Hospital in St. Johns and Flagler counties seeks an EMS Business Development Manager. This field-based role reports to Gainesville team, covering Flagler and St.

Johns counties, building relationships with EMS leadership, hospitals, and community partners to drive growth. Responsibilities include developing business plans, gathering market intelligence, addressing patient access barriers, coordinating CME events, and supporting system initiatives across UF Health St.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years of experience in business development, EMS/medical transport, hospital emergency service, medical/pharmaceutical sales, or provider relations preferred.

Overview

EMS Business Development Manager

📍 Location: UF Health Flagler Hospital (St. Johns and Flager area)

💻 Work Style: Field-Based - This is a position that will be a part of our Gainesville based team but will work the geographic territory of Flagler County and St. Johns County, representing the UF Health St. Johns and Durbin campuses.

🕒 FTE: Full-Time (1.0 FTE)

Build and maintain strong relationships with local EMS leadership and providers, community leadership, emergency rooms, healthcare systems and their teams through regular outreach, while developing and executing targeted business development strategies that support the organization’s strategic growth goals. Gather and analyze market and competitive intelligence to inform leadership decisions, address and resolve barriers for patient access to the UFH system, support the growth needs of clinical service lines, programs, and system initiatives. Coordinate and collaborate on educational outreach activities throughout the market including but not limited to CME events, in-services, conferences, health fairs, and seminars to highlight organizational capabilities and foster engagement. Contribute to medical transport and hospital to hospital growth, strengthen medical transport and health systemalignment, and ensure strategies implemented support system initiatives.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's Degree

Minimum Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in business development, clinical services, EMS/medical transport, hospital emergency service,medical/pharmaceutical sales, or provider relations preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

• An understanding of Emergency Department patient throughput from an EMS perspective, flight perspective, ED perspective or all of the above
• Experience and relationships within the ST. Johns and Flagler counties with local EMS bases and leaders
• Experience with County Commission and City Leadership
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Experience in market assessments and data analysis preferred
• Professional presentation skills
• Experience within healthcare and/or a hospital system specifically preferred
• Experience in a provider relations role preferred
• High level of professionalism required
