Job summary

UF Health Jacksonville is seeking an EMS Communications Manager to lead the TraumaOne Communications Center, overseeing air and ground EMS dispatch operations, flight following, and coordination with hospital leadership. The role focuses on 24/7 operational readiness, policy development, and regulatory compliance to ensure high-quality emergency communications.

The position requires supervisory experience in EMS communications, strong leadership, and excellent collaboration with internal teams

Qualifications

• 3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in an EMS communications environment.
• Overseeing staff responsible for managing incoming ambulance reports and coordinating multi-unit responses.
• Leadership in a high-volume EMS communications center with integration of prehospital and interfacility transport operations.

Responsibilities

• Direct, manage, and coordinate uninterrupted dispatch and communication services for air and ground EMS units.
• Lead drills, training exercises, and after-action reviews for disaster preparedness and emergency response.
• Supervise communications staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
