Job summary

Falck Northwest Corp in Southern California seeks a Field Training Officer (FTO) to provide field training, evaluation, and orientation to new EMTs and trainees, ensuring adherence to policy and procedure. The FTO will evaluate performance and guide trainees through the Field Training Program.

The position requires active California EMT certification, a CA driver’s license, and CPR certification. Candidates must be hired before January 1, 2026 and have no recent disciplinary actions.

Qualifications

• Active full-time FSC employee.
• In good standing with FSC.
• Valid California EMT certification.
• Valid CA driver's license and insurability.
• American Heart Association CPR for the Healthcare Provider.
• No documented disciplinary actions in the past 12 months (excluding attendance).
• Must have been hired prior to January 1, 2026.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, monitor and document trainee performance while on duty.
• Participate in remedial training and performance improvement plans.
• Assist trainees with arranging additional training per Field Training Program guidelines.
• Provide regular feedback and written evaluations on trainee progress to the Training Department.
• Attend all regularly scheduled training meetings.
• Ensure proper patient care documentation and ePCR reviews with trainees.
