Job summary

NORCAL Ambulance is seeking a Lead FTO/Station Officer to oversee field teams and ensure safe, compliant transport operations. The role emphasizes mentoring staff, enforcing NORCAL policies, and coordinating resources during incidents.

The position requires EMT-Basic or Paramedic certification, a valid California driver’s license, and proven driver training experience. Strong communication and field problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have EMT certification and a valid driver license.
• Experience mentoring field staff and enforcing safety policies is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety procedures and write routine reports.

Responsibilities

• Be an active role model for all field employees.
• Ensure field crews follow NORCAL Ambulance policies and provide mentoring or discipline when needed.
• Perform field patient assessments to ensure crew and patient safety during transport.
• Provide lift assists and ride along on priority calls to safeguard crews and patients.
• Troubleshoot equipment, vehicles, and hospital transport issues as they arise.
• Coordinate resources during incidents involving vehicles or patients.
• Deliver driver training and remediation as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
