Job summary

WLRC in Jonesboro, AR is seeking an Education and Training Manager to oversee onboarding, orientation, and ongoing EMS training for new and current employees. You will ensure documentation is collected, procedures are followed, and staff are prepared to deliver high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of leadership experience.
• Graduation From High School or equivalent.
• Must be at least 19 years old at time of hire for insurance purposes.
• Successful completion of NREMT Paramedic certification.
• Current NREMT Paramedic (or ability to obtain within 10 days of hire).
• Valid driver’s license; ability to drive company vehicles with a clean driving record.
• Successful completion of NAEMT EVOS or ability to obtain in 90 days.
• Current AHA BLS Instructor.
• Current MIEMSS QAQI Certification (or ability to obtain within 1 month of hire).
• Current NAEMT Instructor (or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire).
• Ability to provide quality patient care within scope of practice.
• Knowledge of state EMS protocols.
• Availability for recall in crisis; lift test of 150–200 pounds; drug/background checks; English language proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Onboarding and Orientation: conduct sessions for new employees and verify documentation.
• Training Coordination: schedule and manage training; identify needs and develop programs.
• Online Training Management: monitor and maintain online training platform and access.
• Recertification Programs: create ALS and BLS recertification training programs.
• Skills Development: teach provider skills with hands-on training and simulations.
• Performance Tracking: monitor progress and prepare reports for leadership.
• Collaboration: work with medical director and other departments to enhance education.
• QA/QI: conduct audits of EMS documentation and training effectiveness.
• Develop mixed in-person/online training for national exams.
