Job summary

Baptist Health in Louisville, KY is seeking a PRN EMS Dispatcher to coordinate EMS transportation to and from Baptist Health facilities. The role requires accurate documentation, knowledge of EPIC EMS reporting tools, and data integrity at the System Service Center EMS Dispatch Center.

Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED, EMT education, and at least 1 year of dispatch experience, with proficiency in MS Office. CADS certification must be obtained within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Correspond with Baptist Health EMS Ambulance Service crews to coordinate patient transportation to and from Baptist Health facilities.
• Maintain accuracy and speed in collating documentation.
• Maintain current knowledge of EPIC software and EMS patient care reporting tools.
• Ensure data integrity for the System Service Center EMS Dispatch Center and protect PHI with strong communication and prioritization skills.

The position of EMS Dispatcher is responsible for communications with Baptist Health EMS Ambulance Service crews for patients requiring transportation services to and/or from a Baptist Healthcare facility. They maintain overall accuracy and expediency of collating documentation. They must maintain current knowledge of EPIC software along with specialized products related to EMS patient care reporting. This position is responsible for the integrity of data regarding the System Service Center EMS Dispatch Center. They must practice outstanding skill at protecting PHI and have exemplary communication and prioritization skills.
