Job summary

Baptist Health is looking for a PRN EMS Dispatcher to join our team in Louisville, KY.

The EMS Dispatcher coordinates with Baptist Health EMS crews for patient transportation, ensures accurate and expeditious documentation, maintains knowledge of EPIC software and EMS reporting tools, protects PHI, and demonstrates strong communication and prioritization skills. A High School Diploma or GED is required, EMT education is preferred, and CADS certification must be obtained within 1 year.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year prior dispatch/communication experience required.
• Working knowledge of MS Office products.
• Must obtain Certified Ambulance Documentation Specialist (CADS) within 1 year from hire date.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with Baptist Health EMS crews for patient transportation needs.
• Ensures accuracy and expeditious documentation and maintains PHI protection.

The position of EMS Dispatcher is responsible for communications with Baptist Health EMS Ambulance Service crews for patients requiring transportation services to and/or from a Baptist Healthcare facility. They maintain overall accuracy and expediency of collating documentation. They must maintain current knowledge of EPIC software along with specialized products related to EMS patient care reporting. This position is responsible for the integrity of data regarding the System Service Center EMS Dispatch Center. They must practice outstanding skill at protecting PHI and have exemplary communication and prioritization skills.

Requirements
