Job summary

Team Mobile Health Care in Murfreesboro, TN seeks a dispatcher/call taker to support the Team Operations Center. You will receive and dispatch emergency and non-emergency calls, and participate in dispatching operations under supervision.

Ideal candidates demonstrate strong leadership, excellent communication, and superior customer service. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with Tennessee Advanced EMT license preferred. One year of dispatching experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates leadership and professionalism; sets standard for employees to follow.
• Operates EMS Computer-Aided Dispatching equipment to receive and transmit information on EMS calls.
• Evaluates incoming calls to determine EMS assistance, dispatches units and transmits information per procedures.
• Demonstrates superior customer service and critical thinking under pressure; follows directions from the CEO.

Responsibilities

• Operate EMS CAD console (phone, base radio, computer terminal).
• Answer incoming calls and obtain necessary information.
• Assess calls to determine urgency and dispatch appropriate personnel.
• Maintain status and location of EMS personnel and vehicles.
• Transmit messages to equipment and responding units.
• Contact outside agencies as directed by Manager on Duty.
• Answer routine questions or refer calls to appropriate departments.
• Consult with leadership on non-routine matters.
