Job summary

Gold Cross EMS, Inc. in Augusta, GA is seeking a Communications Officer to manage inbound and outbound dispatch via telephone, radio, and in-person coordination. You will input information into the CAD system and track unit progress as calls evolve.

You will support a Shift Supervisor or Senior Communications Officer, perform essential duties including answering lines, monitoring radios, and ensuring accurate pass-ons and unit locations. Strong communication and SOP adherence are required.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license is required.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Background check satisfactory.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification is required.
• Hazmat training is required.

Responsibilities

• Answer/Operate all telephones.
• Operate all telephone functions following SOPs.
• Have knowledge of Gold Cross EMS station locations and response areas.
• Dispatch/Monitor all emergency services.
• Monitor radios and unit locations for timely call completion.
• Enter and monitor routine traffic in CAD.
• Operate CAD following SOPs.
• Operate/monitor all radio and phone systems.
• Operate/monitor office equipment and back-up devices.
• Perform end of duty/beginning of duty tasks as directed.
