Job summary

Amerimed is seeking Telecommunicator I/II in Buford, GA to operate within the MedComm division, handling inbound calls, dispatching EMS units, and coordinating information between callers and field crews. The roles require accurate data entry, timely responses, and adherence to SOPs.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • EMD, CPR and AEMS certification are beneficial but not required.
  • Typing skills 35 wpm or greater.
  • Previous public safety telecommunications or dispatch experience is beneficial.
  • Must be trustworthy, honest, dependable, detail oriented and an excellent communicator and leader.
  • Completion of all AEMS training offerings and FEMA courses may be required.
  • Excellent customer service skills are essential.
  • Must be free of criminal offenses and drug free.

Responsibilities

  • Handle day-to-day call taking and radio dispatching.
  • Log and relay information accurately and timely.
  • Prioritize service based on urgency and information gathered.
  • Coordinate outbound calls to facilities and update on statuses.
  • Maintain CAD records and document all interactions for legal accuracy.
  • Provide reporting information such as call statistics and transport details.
