Yale New Haven Health is seeking a Dispatcher to obtain information for service requests and dispatch appropriate personnel according to established response protocols. The role also processes requests from field crews and facilitates the flow of information between administrative staff and field personnel.

Candidates should understand HIPAA, possess knowledge of local geography, and adhere to PHI protection and customer service standards.

Formación

• Two years EMS field experience or One year EMS communications experience preferred.
• CT EMT certification preferred; ability to obtain and maintain EMD.
• Demonstrated knowledge of local geography.

Responsabilidades

• Obtain information necessary for service requests and dispatch appropriate personnel.
• Process requests from field crews for assistance.
• Facilitate the flow of information between administrative staff and field personnel.
• Maintain professional, courteous conduct and appearance.
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations and protect PHI.
• Monitor radio communications and respond professionally.
• Enter data accurately into the Computer Aided Dispatch system.
• Attend scheduled department meetings and training.

BS/BA degree in communications or related field (preferred)
