Job summary

Northwell Health Ambulance CT is seeking a Dispatcher to provide coordination between hospital and customers using interventional thinking and CAD systems. You will be the first contact for inquiries and help ensure timely patient conveyance services.

The role requires EMT certification, a High School diploma or equivalent, and strong English communication, data entry, and multitasking abilities. Training and a collaborative work environment are offered.

Qualifications

• EMT training and certification.
• High School diploma or equivalent with 6 months dispatch experience.
• Proficient with CAD and data entry; strong English communication; good organization and multitasking.

Responsibilities

• Receives incoming calls from customers; prioritizes, dispatches and follows up to completion.
• Evaluates potential problems from calls and CAD monitoring.
• Provides clerical support to EMS administration (schedules, reports, attendance, shift coverage).
• Maintains situational awareness and notifies EMS administration of evolving events.
