Job summary

Avera is seeking a Communication Specialist Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Careflight Communication Center, ensuring training for software and operational duties, and coordinating calls for aeromedical and ground services to support safe patient transport.

This role leads dispatch software and communication devices development, directs staffing and performance, and aligns protocols with CAMTS and related standards while fostering program growth internally and externally.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Careflight Communication Center and coordinate calls for aeromedical and ground services to support safe patient transport.
• Provide training for software and operational duties, and requisition supplies, equipment and services as directed.
• Lead for dispatching software and communication devices development and program needs with product vendors.
• Interviewing, hiring, developing, training, and retaining employees; planning, assigning, and leading work; appraising performance; coaching staff.
