Job summary

Avera is seeking a Communication Specialist Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the Avera Careflight Communication Center, coordinating calls for aeromedical and ground transport to ensure safe and efficient patient care.

The role leads staff development, maintains training programs and ensures compliance with CAMTS, IAMTCS, FAA and Careflight policies, while protecting confidentiality and promoting teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Certified Flight Communicator IAMTCS or Commlink CFC certification within 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Avera Careflight Communication Center.
• Coordinate calls for aeromedical and ground services to facilitate safe transport of patients.
• Lead dispatching software and communication devices development and vendor coordination.
• Interviewing, hiring, developing, training, and retaining employees; plan, assign and lead work; appraise performance.

Education

High School or GED Equivalent

IAMTCS/Commlink CFC certification within 2 Years
