Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology, keyboarding, and computer skills preferred.
• Basic skills in Microsoft Office preferred.
• Previous scheduling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answers phone with correct salutation and takes messages.
• Documents all messages into the EMR.
• Greets patients warmly and checks in the patient in the EMR.
• Verifies patient information, demographics and insurance coverage; updates as needed in EMR.
• Schedules return appointments and testing after precertification as required.
• Completes and sends medical records requests and referrals in EMR.
• Balances upfront collections and reconciles receipts per protocol.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
