Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge and training in medical terminology, keyboarding and computer skills preferred.
• Basic skills in Microsoft Office preferred.
• Previous experience preferred in scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Answers phone with correct salutation.
• Takes messages and documents them in the EMR.
• Greets patients warmly and verifies demographics and insurance.
• Checks in/out patients in the EMR and handles deposits and receipts.
• Schedules return appointments and testing with required precertification.
• Completes referrals, scans paperwork, and processes medical records requests.
