Job summary

Summary

Boulder Medical Center is seeking experienced Patient Access,Medical Reception, and front-office healthcare professionals who are passionate about training, mentoring, and supporting the development of others. In this role, you will help onboard, coach, and educate Patient Access staff while serving as a subject matter expert for front-office workflows and EMR best practices. This is a full-time, benefit-eligible position based in Boulder, CO, with travel between our Boulder, Louisville, Erie, and Longmont locations. In this role, you'll partner with our Patient Access (Medical Receptionist) teams to deliver training, develop educational resources, support EMR workflows, and help ensure staff are confident and successful in using our electronic medical record systems. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys teaching, mentoring, problem-solving, and improving healthcare operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Training & Education
  • Deliver instructor-led training for new and existing Patient Access staff.
  • Support onboarding, workflow education, and system updates.
Curriculum Development
  • Develop training materials, guides, and educational programs.
  • Maintain training documentation and learning resources.
User Support
  • Partner with IT and operational teams to troubleshoot system issues.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and support to end users.
Communication & Change Management
  • Coordinate communication regarding EMR upgrades, and downtime procedures.
  • Support adoption of new workflows and best practices.
Continuous Improvement
  • Analyze workflow and system data to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist with process enhancement initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize competing responsibilities.
  • Passion for teaching and helping others succeed.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience and/or education, preferred.
Previous Experience
  • 1-2 years' experience in a medical office, clinic or hospital.
  • Epic experience desired.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR), Epic experience desired
  • Prior training, education, or onboarding experience.

Hiring Salary Range
  • Salary range should be $58,000-$73,000
