Job summary

You will coordinate collection, review, scanning, and routing of medical records from internal and external sources to support care planning and clinical follow-up.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 2+ years related experience in medical records.
• Experience with clinical billing/coding and EMR implementation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain internal EMR system documentation and workflow processes.
• Improve current medical record keeping by studying practices, procedures, problems and trends.
• Ensure records meet policies and regulatory requirements.
• Route records to providers to support continuity of care and follow-up.
• Obtain weekly records from vendors and upload to EMR for IDT review.
• Prepare paper records for scanning per HIM guidelines.
