Job summary
Ohio State University Health System Shared Services seeks a Health Systems Informatics Technician 2 to deliver telephone-based technical and application support for the EMR system, addressing both technical and end-user workflow issues. The role serves a diverse customer base including hospital staff, patients using portals, and Community Connect affiliate hospitals.
The position collaborates with IT infrastructure, technical support, and application teams to troubleshoot Tier 1 and Tier 2
Qualifications
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of related work experience in customer support, healthcare, IT, or clinical applications support.
- Experience with electronic medical record systems and clinical workflows is a plus.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills for support callers.
Responsibilities
- Provide telephone-based technical and application support for the EMR system (Tier 1/2).
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across clinical applications and end-user workflows.
- Coordinate with IT infrastructure and application teams; document incidents and resolutions.
- Support system maintenance and operational activities to ensure reliable clinical applications.
