Job summary

Mesa Public Schools in Mesa, AZ is seeking a paraeducator to support special education students under certified teachers and specialists. You will assist with IEP implementation, daily living activities, and classroom tasks, while ensuring safety and data tracking.

This role requires collaboration with SPED staff and adherence to district policies. Full-time (32.5 hours/week) with a base hourly rate of $19.89.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in similar roles preferred.
• Able to work with students with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction under teacher direction and reinforce objectives.
• Assist in developing instructional materials and maintaining the classroom.
• Proactively collect and monitor data related to academic and behavioral goals.
• Assist in modifying curriculum to meet individual learning needs.
• Implement and monitor behavior plans and safety policies.
• Support students with personal care and transitions around campus.
• Assist Medicaid billing in school programs (training provided).
• Participate in meetings and professional development.
