Job summary

Coalition seeks a Peer Specialist in Colorado to bring lived experience to support clients, families, and teams. You’ll focus on empowerment, advocacy, and goal-oriented recovery, guiding individuals through challenges with strengths-based approaches.

Responsibilities include mentoring clients, facilitating recovery-focused counseling, coordinating services across healthcare, housing, and behavioral health, and documenting activities in the EHR while adhering to policies and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Must have lived experience with recovery/mental health challenges
• Coordinate with healthcare, housing, and behavioral health services
• BLS certification within 30 days of employment
• Bi-lingual English-Spanish/ASL preferred
• Colorado driver’s license within 30 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Provide mentorship using personal lived experience to build goals and skills
• Facilitate counseling and activities for clients in recovery in individual or group settings
• Coordinate services with internal teams and external partners for housing, healthcare, and behavioral health
• Transport clients to appointments using CCH vehicle or approved personal vehicle
• Document all interactions in the EHR with up-to-date charts
• Engage in ongoing client outreach and maintain confidentiality
• Perform other duties as assigned
