Job summary

Vinfen is seeking a Peer Specialist to promote engagement, hope, and functioning for Persons Served within the community. The role provides peer support, education, and advocacy, helping individuals access housing, healthcare, and employment services while fostering self-determination and recovery.

The position emphasizes recovery-oriented, person-centered approaches, MI, harm-reduction, and collaboration with ACCS staff to enhance daily living skills and community integration.

Qualifications

• Personal, first-hand experience with mental health system.
• Certified Peer Specialist credential preferred; must become certified.
• Bilingual/bicultural applicants encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Implements Peer Support-oriented treatment plan interventions.
• Shares personal experiences; provides support, education, and advocacy to Persons Served.
• Engages Persons Served in supportive relationships that promote empowerment and self-learning.
• Facilitates Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) groups and connects to recovery tools.
• Completes required documentation in accordance with Certified Peer Specialist standards.
