Job summary

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking an Instructional Support Paraprofessional to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year in a part-time, school-based setting in California. You will work with teachers, special education staff, and other professionals to support students with diverse needs and help implement IEPs and classroom modifications.

Ideal candidates are compassionate, patient, and capable of building positive relationships with students, families, and school teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with children or individuals with special needs preferred.
• Ability to follow instructional plans, classroom procedures, and behavioral strategies.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Authorization to work in the United States and English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one, small-group, and classroom-wide instructional support.
• Reinforce teacher-led lessons and classroom routines.
• Assist students with academic tasks and skill development.
• Support implementation of IEPs, accommodations, and classroom modifications.
• Monitor student engagement, progress, and behavior; communicate observations to the school team.
• Maintain accurate documentation and student records.
