Job summary

Cherry Creek Careers is seeking an Instructional Para Educator to assist students under the direction of a licensed staff member. You will help individuals and small groups with basic curriculum work, reinforce learning skills, prepare classroom materials, monitor students, and support teachers with assessments.

This role may involve work with behaviorally challenging students, light clerical tasks, and supporting field trips or drills.

Qualifications

• High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma required.
• Intermediate English language skills and strong reading/writing abilities.
• Ability to work one-on-one and in small groups with students.
• Advanced interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and with others in a classroom setting.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teacher in preparing materials, administering tests, grading, attendance, etc.
• Assist students with classroom activities and curriculum delivery to individuals and small groups.
• Monitor students and reinforce appropriate behavior during activities and routines.
• Perform light clerical tasks and help with paperwork and documentation.
• Assist with field trips, drills, and other classroom events as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
