Job summary

Cherry Creek Careers is seeking an Instructional Para Educator to support students under licensed staff. You will help individuals or small groups with basic curriculum work, prepare materials, reinforce learning, and assist with behavior and discipline procedures.

Under supervision, you will monitor students, assist with assessments, and help with clerical tasks in the classroom, contributing to a positive instructional environment for diverse learners.

Qualifications

• Assists students with basic curriculum work under licensed staff.
• Prepares classroom materials and monitors student progress.
• Supports learning activities and reinforces classroom routines.
• Maintains confidentiality and follows district policies.
• Works with individuals or small groups to reinforce skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teacher by preparing materials, administering tests, grading, attendance, etc. Frequency: Daily, Percentage of Time: 30%
• Assist students with classroom activities and curriculum delivery in small groups. Frequency: Daily, Percentage of Time: 30%
• Monitor students and reinforce appropriate behavior during activities. Frequency: Daily, Percentage of Time: 20%
• Perform basic clerical tasks in the classroom (typing, filing, inventory, etc.). Frequency: Daily, Percentage of Time: 10%
• Assist with field trips or safety drills as needed. Frequency: Daily, Percentage of Time: 5%
• Perform other duties as assigned. Frequency: Daily, Percentage of Time: 5%
