Job summary

Cherry Creek Schools is seeking an Instructional Para Educator to assist students under a licensed staff member. You will help individuals or small groups with basic curriculum work, reinforce learning, and support discipline procedures.

You will prepare classroom materials, monitor students, and record achievements, with duties including field trips and drills as needed. Collaboration with teachers is essential to support student success.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
• HSE diploma is essential.
• Two years of higher education or an associate’s degree required or demonstrated readiness.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Intermediate English language skills and strong communication.
• Ability to work alone and with others in a classroom setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teacher with materials, tests, grading, attendance daily (30%).
• Support students in activities and curriculum delivery in groups (30%).
• Monitor behavior and reinforce appropriate conduct during activities (20%).
• Perform light clerical tasks in classroom, including data entry and ordering supplies (10%).
• Assist with field trips or drills and other duties as needed (5%).
• Carry out additional duties as assigned (5%).
