Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
• High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma required.
• No professional work experience required.
• Title I assignments: two years of higher education or an associate degree or demonstrated knowledge via assessment (reading, writing, math).
• Basic knowledge of office equipment (phones, copiers, printers).
• Basic knowledge of MS Office.
• Intermediate English language skills.
• Intermediate oral and written communication skills.
• Advanced interpersonal and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare classroom materials, administer tests, grade, attendance, and related paperwork.
• Assist with curriculum delivery to individuals and small groups to ensure mastery of subjects.
• Monitor students and reinforce behavior during activities, meals, field trips, or in-class.
• Perform basic clerical tasks for the teacher (typing, filing, data entry, supplies).
• Assist with field trips or drills as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
