Job summary

Cherry Creek Careers is seeking an Instructional Para Educator to work under licensed staff, supporting students with basic curriculum work and reinforcing learning skills. You will prepare classroom materials, monitor students, and help evaluate achievement while adapting to individual needs.

Responsibilities include assisting with tests, attendance, field trips, and behavior management, as well as light clerical tasks and data entry.

Qualifications

Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma.
No professional work experience required.
Title I assignments require two years of college, an associate’s degree, or demonstrated knowledge of reading, writing, and math.
Basic knowledge of typical office equipment and Microsoft Office.
Intermediate English language and communication skills.
Ability to work one‑on‑one and in small groups with students.

Responsibilities

Assist classroom teacher in preparing materials, administering tests, grading, attendance, etc.
Assist students with classroom activities and curriculum delivery to individuals and small groups.
Monitor students and reinforce appropriate behavior during various activities.
Perform basic clerical work for the classroom teacher (typing, filing, data entry, supplies).
Assist with field trips or other classroom events as necessary.
Perform other duties as assigned.
