Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for At Home Healthcare, part of LHC Group within the Optum family. You will deliver treatment, educate patients, and follow the plan of care to improve well-being in patients' homes.

The role requires state licensure as a PTA, a valid driver's license, and weekend availability; CPR certification is preferred. You will collaborate with a care team to support patients and families across diverse home environments.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
• Current driver’s license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Follow state-specific laws governing home health PT; perform only procedures qualified and trained to perform; suggest changes in plan of care to supervising PT.
• Instructs patients in active and passive exercises, gait, transfer, ADL, and prosthetic training.
• Observe and report patient response to treatment; coordinate care with healthcare team.
• Educate patient, family, and caregivers in therapy areas.
• Function in diverse home situations regardless of background.
