Job summary

UnitedHealth Group's Amedisys home health team seeks an Occupational Therapy Assistant to deliver skilled services in patients' homes under supervision of an OT. You will implement treatment plans, monitor progress, and document outcomes to support independence and safety in daily living.

The role requires an ACOTE-accredited OTA program, current state licensure, NBCOT eligibility, CPR certification, and at least 1 year of OTA experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an OTA program accredited by ACOTE.
• Current license to practice as an OTA in the state of employment.
• Eligible for NBCOT certification exam.
• Current CPR certification.
• 1+ years of OTA experience; mentoring possible if less than 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled interventions under supervision of an occupational therapist.
• Documents visits according to guidelines for the patient record.
• Records patient responses and changes in condition.
• Provides patient/caregiver resources for future ADL/IADL needs.
• Promotes wellness and occupational engagement.
• Demonstrates knowledge of community resources/services.
• Coordinates follow-up care with the care center.
• Keeps up with OT trends and documentation skills.
• Other duties as assigned.
