Job summary

Amedisys, part of the Optum family, seeks an Occupational Therapy Assistant to deliver skilled services in patients' homes under supervision of an OT. You will implement treatment plans, document outcomes, and support independence in daily living.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an OT OTA program ACOTE-accredited.
• Current license to practice as an OTA in the designated state.
• Eligible to take NBCOT entry-level exam for OT assistants.
• Current CPR certification.
• 1+ year OTA experience; mentoring if <1 year.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled interventions under OT supervision.
• Document each visit per guidelines for the clinical record.
• Observe and report patient responses and condition changes.
• Provide caregiver resources for ADL/IADL needs.
• Promote wellness through occupational engagement.
• Know available community resources/services.
• Recommend follow-up care with admitting center.
• Stay updated on OT practice and care coordination.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
