Job summary

Amedisys Home Health is hiring an Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our home health team. You will provide skilled interventions under the supervision of an OT, document visits, and monitor patient progress within established care plans.

This role supports patient independence and community resource use, with emphasis on safety and quality of care. Qualified candidates hold an OTA license, ACOTE accreditation, NBCOT certification, and have at least 1 year of OTA experience, plus CPR

Qualifications

Current license to practice as an occupational therapy assistant (state-specific).
Graduate of an OTA program accredited by ACOTE (AOTA).
NBCOT entry-level certification completed or eligible.
Minimum of one year OTA experience or approval from regional clinical leadership for less experience.

Responsibilities

Provide skilled interventions under supervision of an occupational therapist.
Document each visit per AOTA guidelines and regulatory standards.
Monitor and report patient responses to treatment to the supervising OT and care team.
Provide patient/caregiver resources for future ADL/IADL needs.
Promote wellness through engagement in occupational activities and utilize community resources.
