Gateways to Change, Inc. is seeking dedicated Direct Support Workers to provide in-home and community-based services to adults with disabilities across Rhode Island.

The role focuses on skill-building, daily living support, transportation to appointments, and promoting independence in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should demonstrate reliability, strong communication, and the ability to work both independently and with a care team.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license and current insurance, registrations & inspection
• Criminal background check with no disqualifying offenses
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home and community-based support to individuals
• Assist individuals in achieving goals in home and local community
• Transport individuals to medical appointments, shopping, and recreation
• Assist with toileting, dressing, and hygiene
• Administer medications
• Cultivate safe and supportive relationships
• Be creative, organized, and efficient
• Work independently and with staff
