Gateways to Change, Inc. is seeking dedicated Direct Support Workers to assist adults with developmental and physical disabilities.

You will provide in-home and community-based support, helping individuals develop daily living and social skills throughout Rhode Island. Responsibilities include transportation to appointments, assisting with personal care, and administering medications while fostering safe, supportive relationships.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license and current vehicle insurance, registrations, and inspection.
• Must provide a criminal background check with no disqualifying offenses.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home and community-based support to individuals.
• Assist individuals with achieving goals in the home and local community.
• Transport individuals to medical appointments, personal shopping, and recreation activities.
• Assist in toileting, dressing, and hygiene.
• Administration of medication.
• Cultivate safe and supportive relationships.
• Be creative, organized, and efficient.
• Work independently and with staff.
