Gateways to Change, Inc. is seeking dedicated Direct Support Workers to provide in-home and community-based services to adults with disabilities across Rhode Island.

The role focuses on skill-building, daily living support, transportation to appointments, and promoting independence in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should demonstrate reliability, strong communication, and the ability to work both independently and with a care team.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license and current insurance, registrations & inspection
• Criminal background check with no disqualifying offenses
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills

Responsibilities

We are looking for a dedicated and committed Direct Support Workers who are striving to make a difference in the lives of the individuals we serve. Help individuals acquire and maintain skills to improve their daily-living, and socialization skills.

• Provide In-Home and Community Based support to individuals
• Assist individuals with achieving a variety of goals in the home and local community
• Transport individuals to medical appointments, personal shopping, and recreation activities
• Assist in toileting, dressing, and hygiene
• Administration of medication
• Cultivate safe and supportive relationships
• Be creative, organized, and efficient
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and bring fun to the job
• Working independently and with staff

REQUIREMENTS:
