Job summary

WellLife Network is hiring Direct Support Professionals to provide hands-on care and advocacy for New Yorkers with developmental disabilities and related needs. You will support daily living tasks, build community connections, and promote independence in homes and communities.

The role involves medication administration, health and wellness support, mobility assistance, and collaboration with healthcare teams.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalency required.
• Fluent in English for client communication.
• A valid New York State Driver’s License with at least 1 year of driving experience is required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on care, encouragement, and advocacy for individuals served.
• Assist with daily living activities and community connections.
• Administer medications as directed and support medical appointments.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and safe navigation of environments.
• Implement strategies to support behavioral and emotional well-being.
• Plan and participate in recreational, educational, and social activities.
• Assist with communication tools and advocate for needs and rights.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and maintain accurate records in electronic systems.
