Monarch Healthcare is seeking a Behavioral Specialist in North Carolina to support individuals with mental health diagnoses, developmental disabilities, or substance use disorders. You will assess needs, promote community participation, and advocate for rights while maintaining daily documentation and safety procedures.

The role requires a High School Diploma, a valid driver’s license, and prior experience with the target populations.

Qualifications

High School Diploma required.
Valid Driver's License required (USA).
Experience working with individuals with mental health diagnoses, intellectual/developmental disabilities, or substance use disorders.

Responsibilities

Assess individuals' hopes, dreams, and desires and provide supports to achieve them.
Assist individuals in community participation aligned with their interests.
Protect and promote rights; support advocacy and use personal advocates.
Provide emotional, physical, and social support as needed.
Foster person-centered relationships and promote self-determination.
Contribute to assessment and planning processes; implement plans.
Complete documentation: goals, outcomes, incident reports, timesheets.
Maintain daily progress notes and logs to track appointments and goals.
Assist with daily home operations: housekeeping, meals, laundry, shopping, yard work.
Provide transportation as required; arrange travel for services.
Educate on emergency procedures and personal safety.
